St. Anne’s Community Services (St Anne’s) is a charity that is committed to enabling people to live their best life. We believe that the people we support should live a life without limits.
Who we are
St Anne’s was founded in 1971 as a shelter for homeless men in Leeds. Today, we are proud to be one of the North’s leading person-centred charities, delivering two core areas of impact: outstanding care and support services and safe, quality social housing.
As a multi-speciality care provider, we are committed to person-centred care across a wide range of services and are regulated by the CQC for relevant services. We’re also a Registered Provider of Social Housing, ensuring people have safe and supportive places to live with the oversight of the Regulator of Social Housing.
We employ over 1,500 dedicated colleagues, with our Central Services Office in Leeds, and services delivered across the North of England. We work in partnership with local authorities, healthcare organisations, and other stakeholders to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Our Structure
St. Anne’s Community Services Ltd is a private company limited by guarantee, a registered charity with the Charity Commission, and a registered provider of social housing with the Regulator of Social Housing. We currently have one wholly owned subsidiary company.
There are four committees which support the work of St. Anne’s.
- Audit, Risk & Assurance – oversee and provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of external financial audit, internal control and risk management.
- Finance & Business – provide assurance to the Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of evaluation and control of financial performance and planning.
- Quality & People – support the board in providing oversight and assurance in the delivery of strategies and services to customers with a focus on quality. This committee oversee quality, safeguarding, people, housing and health and safety.
- Remuneration & Nomination – oversee and plan for Board and Committee governance arrangements including such things as succession planning, skills and training.
